Importing data
Learn more by watching the video!
You can use ingest jobs to import data from a source outside of Oracle Audience Segmentation into the data model.
To import data, you will need to do the following:
-
Create a source to configure where Oracle Audience Segmentation will retrieve the data from.
-
Create an ingest job to configure the data that will be imported. If needed, you can transform the imported data so that it is in the proper format.
Learn more about correctly formatting source files and ingest jobs so that you can successfully import data:
-
Ensure source files are formatted correctly by reviewing CSV file standards for Oracle Audience Segmentation and supported CSV parsers.
-
Review how to import empty or null data and the restrictions on empty/null data in the Oracle Audience Segmentation data model.
Import job files
Please note the following for files imported into Oracle Audience Segmentation:
-
There is no specific order that files are imported. During ingest job runs, all available files for import are selected randomly.
-
Content within the same file may be imported in parallel. This means that records within a file are not imported based on the time they were written to the file. Records with an older timestamp may be imported before records with a newer timestamp.
