Managing message variants
After you create and save a message variant, you can take various actions on it.
To locate variants in your message:

If you are unfamiliar with which regions in a message have variants, then you can use the following methods to locate the variants:

In a message, click the Variants tab. Click through the regions of the message. When variants are present in a region, you will see the list of variants on the Variants panel.

You can also locate variants in the Code view. Search for the attribute data-content-region-name. This will locate the regions in the code that have variants, but it won't select the region in the visual message view.

To view a variant:

Click on the variant name on the Variants panel. The variant will appear in the live view of your message, which should be next to the Variants panel.
To change the order in which the variant is evaluated:

Click on the
button next to the variant name. -
Within the menu that appears, click either the Move Up or the Move Down buttons to change the order in which the variant is evaluated.
To view contact attributes or to change what is displayed in the variant :

Click on the
button next to the variant name. -
Within the menu that appears, click the Edit button which will take you to the Who will see this variant? page. From there, you will be able to see the list of attributes contacts must have to view the variant and can edit the list if you need to. You can also edit what they see in the variant by clicking What will they see?.
To delete a variant:
- Click on the
button next to the variant name. - Within the menu that appears, click the Delete button.
To delete all variants:
- In the Variants tab, click on the
button across from the Variants title. This will remove the variants you created but will keep the default content in the message.
