Creating a Custom Audience in Facebook

Before you can orchestrate with Facebook Custom Audiences, you will first need to create a Custom Audience in Facebook (or use a pre-existing Custom Audience). Learn more about the steps for configuring the Facebook Custom Audience app within Oracle Responsys.

Important notes for creating Custom Audience

  • The Custom Audience needs to be created from a customer list in order for the Custom Audience to accept email addresses or phone numbers from the Oracle Responsys Facebook Custom Audience app.
  • During the creation of the customer list Custom Audience, you will need to upload at least one email address or phone number into the Custom Audience through the Facebook interface.
  • You can then use the Responsys Facebook Custom Audience app to add or remove recipients (email address or phone numbers) to the custom audience you created in Facebook.
  • The Custom Audience you are adding to or removing from Facebook will be used in a Facebook ad campaign targeted to those customers. If an ad campaign does not already exist, you will need to follow Facebook’s documentation for creating an ad in Ads Manager.
