Working with MMS Message Content

1. In the MMS Message Designer, click Select profile list.
2. Select the list from the List name drop-down list.
3. Click Save.

   The list is selected. The name of the selected list replaces the Select profile list link on the MMS Message Designer page.

1. In the MMS Message Designer, click Edit.

   The Select Code dialog opens.

2. Select the MMS codes.
3. Click OK.

After you select codes, you can build your message.

To personalize the subject line, you insert a token. A token is a placeholder for a value of a data source column.

1. Click .

   The Dynamic subject line dialog opens.

2. Place your cursor where you want to place the personalization token and click Insert token.
3. Choose the list you want to use. If a profile list is not assigned to the campaign, Oracle Responsys will prompt you to select a profile list. After you select a profile list, a personalization token can be created based on the list columns.
4. Locate the column from the list and drag it to the right pane.

   Tip: If the column isn't showing in the list, click Add columns . To add a data source, click Add table. For more information about adding columns and data sources, see Email Message Designer - Working with Data Sources.

5. Optionally, select a formatting style from the Style drop-down list.
6. Click OK.

You can add images in one of the following ways:

• Select a file from the Content Library
• Drag a file onto the canvas
• Upload a file

Oracle Responsys MMS supports the following image file types:

• BMP
• GIF
• JPEG
• JPG
• PNG
• TIFF

Note:  The supported image size varies by carrier and device. However, we recommend keeping image size smaller to increase the overall deliverability of MMS messages.

To select an image from the Content Library:

1. Click Choose image from library .

   The Select content dialog opens.

2. Select the file you want and click Select.

   Tip: You can choose to display the files in the folder as a list or a grid.
   

Drag images onto the canvas:

1. Drag the file from any location on your computer to the Drag and drop your image here section.
2. Click Start upload.

   After the image is uploaded, it appears on the canvas.

Upload an image from your computer:

1. Click browse for an image.

   The Open dialog opens.

2. Select the file you want and click Open.

   The upload dialog opens.

3. Optionally, change the character set and upload folder.
4. Click Start Upload.

   After the image is uploaded, it appears on the canvas.

To remove an image:

• Move over the image and click .

To create or edit message content, type your text on the canvas.

You can use the toolbar buttons to:

• Personalize the message ()
• Undo the most recent action ()
• Redo the most recent action ()
• Cut (), copy (), and paste () the selected text.

To personalize the message:

To personalize a message, you insert a token. A token is a placeholder for a value of a data source column.

1. Place the cursor where you want the personalization token to appear.
2. Click on the toolbar.

   The Insert personalization dialog opens.

3. Type the text or script you want.
4. Drag the column you want to the right pane.

   Tip: To add columns, click . To add a data source, click Add Table. For more information about adding columns and data sources, see Working with Data Sources.

5. Optionally, select a formatting style from the Style drop-down list.
6. Click OK to close the Insert personalization dialog.

• To see how the message will appear on mobile devices, click Preview.

The preview shows the first 25 opted-in records in the profile list.
