Managing Mobile App Configurations

Navigation (for Account Administrators only): Select The Account icon Account on the side navigation bar. Select Campaign management, and then select Mobile App configurations. (Not seeing this choice? Refer to the Account management changes topic.)

This page shows information about all mobile apps configured for the account. You can send Push, In-app, and Message Center campaign messages to mobile devices on which any of these apps are installed. You can add more apps using the Oracle Responsys Mobile App Developer Console.

To see all configurations for an app, click next to the app name.

For more information about Push and In-App campaigns, see Mobile App Overview.

About the Profile List

Each app must be associated with a Profile List that has an associated App Channel List. The App Channel List is used for Mobile App campaigns. For more information, see Creating an App Channel List.

If a PET has been created for the App Channel List, you can also associate it with the app. For more information, see Creating a Profile Extension.

To add or update a Profile List and Preferences PET:

Important: Changing the Profile List invalidates all campaigns associated with the app.

  1. Click Add profile list or Edit profile list.

If you are editing a profile list, an Alert opens.

  2. Click Yes on the Alert.
  3. Select a list from the Profile list drop down list.
  4. Optionally, select a PET from the Preferences PET drop down list.

This option is available only if a PET has been created for the App Channel List.

  5. Click Save.

About Triggers

Triggers specify when in-app messages are shown.

The Standard Trigger is natively supported by the Responsys Mobile App SDK and applies to all mobile apps. The Standard Trigger, $ExplicitAppOpen, opens the in-app message when the app is opened.

A Custom Trigger opens the in-app message when a specific event, such as add to cart, occurs. The app developer must code the app to raise an event using a specific name, and you must find out the name of each trigger. Custom Triggers apply to individual apps.

To add a custom trigger

  1. Click Add Custom trigger.
  2. Type the trigger name in the Trigger name field.
  3. To add more triggers, click Add more and type the trigger name in the new Trigger name field that appears.
  4. Click Save.

To rename a custom trigger:

  1. Click and click Rename.
  2. Type the new name in the Trigger Name field and click Save.

To delete a custom trigger:

Important: Deleting a Custom trigger invalidates all campaigns associated with it.

  1. Click and click Delete.

    An Alert opens.

  2. Click Yes.
