Role Descriptions and Access Rights
User roles determine which functional areas users can access and which activities they can perform in those areas.
The roles available for your account may depend on the features you have enabled for your account or on your account-level settings. For example, you will not see SMS-related roles if your account is not enabled for SMS.
The following table describes each role.

| Full Access Roles | |
| Super User | Has access to all functional areas but no access to account administration functionality. |
| Account Administrator | Has all privileges of a Super User, plus access to account administration functionality. |
| Web Services API Roles | |
| Analytics Web Services Manager | Can access the application only using the Web Services API for analytics. Required for the Interactive Dashboards asynchronous API. |
| Campaign Web Services Manager | Can access the application only using the Web Services API in the Campaign Management category. |
| Content Web Services Manager | Can access the application only using the Web Services API in the Content Management category. |
| Folder Web Services Manager | Can access the application only using the Web Services API in the Folder Management category. |
| List Web Services Manager | Can access the application only using the Web Services API in the List Management category. |
| Program Web Services Manager | This role enables a user to access program specific APIs. |
| Table Web Services Manager | Can access the application only using the Web Services API in the Table Management category. |
| Campaign Related Roles | |
| Display Marketing Director |
Can create and edit Display campaigns. |
| Email Marketing Director | Has all privileges of an Email Marketing Manager, plus the ability to launch Email campaigns. |
| Email Marketing Manager | Can create, edit, and test Email campaigns, but cannot launch them. This role can edit and save content in the Content Library. |
| Email Marketing Producer |
Can create, edit, and test Email campaigns, but cannot launch them. This role cannot edit and save content in the Content Library. This role is also restricted to editing content within a predefined content region in a campaign within the Email Message Designer. This role will be able to pick only from an email template when creating an email campaign. Email Marketing Producers can't select a document directly from the Responsys Content Library. |
| MMS Marketing Manager |
Can create, edit, and test MMS campaigns, but cannot launch them. |
| Push Marketing Director | Has all the capabilities of Push Marketing Manager, plus the ability to launch Mobile App campaigns. |
| Push Marketing Manager |
Can create and edit Mobile App campaigns, but cannot launch them. |
| SMS Marketing Director | Has all the capabilities of SMS Marketing Manager plus privileges to activate keywords of subscriber initiated campaigns. |
| SMS Marketing Manager |
Can create, edit, and test Oracle Responsys SMS campaigns, but cannot launch them. |
| SMS Aggregator Manager | Can assign/unassign SMS aggregators for the account. For more information about this function, see Managing SMS aggregators for your account. |
| Social Marketing Manager |
Can create, edit, and test Social campaigns, but cannot launch them. Note: Social campaigns are deprecated. |
| Web Push Marketing Director | Has all the capabilities of Web Push Marketing Manager, plus the ability to launch Web Push campaigns. |
| Web Push Marketing Manager | Can create and edit Web Push campaigns, but cannot launch them. |

| Content Designer | Can create, edit, and upload content and link tables. |

| Forms Director | Can create and edit forms. |

| Data Director | Has full access to lists, PETs, supplemental tables, and Connect and Audience Designer. |

| Email Analytics Author | Can author dashboards related to the Email channel. |
| Email Analytics Manager | Can access the Email dashboards. |
| Mobile Apps Analytics Author | Can author analytics dashboards related to the Mobile Apps channel. |
| Mobile Apps Analytics Manager | Can access the Mobile Apps dashboards. |
| SMS Analytics Manager | Can access the SMS and MMS dashboards. |

| Collaboration Process Launcher | Can launch collaboration processes. |
| Express Email Campaign Approver | Can approve email campaign configurations through My Tasks. |
| Express Email Campaign Manager | Can work on email campaign configurations through My Tasks |
| Express Email Content Approver | Can approve email content through My Tasks. |
| Express Email Content Manager | Can contribute email content through My Tasks. |
| Express Email Content Translator | Can contribute translated content through My Tasks. These users have limited access to Oracle Responsys, and their user profile must also indicate their assigned languages. See Multilingual collaboration for more details. |
| CX Apps Related Roles | |
| CX Apps Director | Can install, configure, and uninstall apps, as well as view dependencies. This role is available for accounts that have CX Apps (AppCloud/App management) enabled. |
| CX Apps Manager | Can use apps in Programs. User must also have Program Director or Program Manager role. This role is available for accounts that have CX Apps (AppCloud/App management) enabled. |
| App Developer Related Roles | |
| Mobile App Admin | Has all privileges of Mobile apps tab on the App Developer Console, plus the ability to delete mobile apps and platforms. |
| Mobile App Developer | Has full access to the Mobile apps tab on the App Developer Console, but cannot delete mobile apps and platforms. |
| Web Push App Admin | Has all privileges of Web Push apps tab on the App Developer Console, plus the ability to delete web push apps and platforms. |

Note: Available functionality in each area varies by role. For example, both Email Marketing Manager and Email Marketing Director have access to Email campaigns, but the Email Marketing Manager does not have access to the Launch Campaign functionality.
