SMS Campaign Designer - Additional settings

Important: This information applies to the SMS Campaign Designer, which is now generally available for all accounts. It replaces the SMS Campaign Workbook.

Use the Additional settings panel in the Campaign Designer to set up your campaign related options. Click An image of the Expand icon to expand the Additional settings panel. To discard any changes in the panel, click Cancel. To save your changes, click Save .

Note: This panel is only available for marketer-initated campaigns, except for the SMS Opt-out and Email Acquisition templates.

You can configure the following options:

Opt-In

Note: This option is only available in Email Acquisition campaigns.

With this option, you can select from which channels you want contacts to receive messages if they opt-in. You can choose one, both, or neither of the following two options:

  • Opt-In customers to the email channel

    Email addresses are automatically added to the profile list regardless of whether you opt them in to the email channel. Select this option if you want to add the email addresses to the email channel as well as to the profile list. If you do not select this option, email addresses are added to the profile list but are opted out of the email channel. By default, email addresses are opted in to the email channel.

  • Opt-In customers to the mobile SMS channel

Notification

Enter the following for notifications:

  • Progress notifications to: enter the email addresses (separated by commas) to receive progress notifications, then select the type of notifications you want to send. You can send notifications for either skipped and/or sent messages. For live launches, you can also send notifications for launch starts and/or empty launches.

    For skipped messages, notifications are sent when the specified percentage of messages is skipped.

    For sent messages, you can send the notification after the specified percentage of messages is sent, or when the launch is complete.

  • Failure notifications to: enter the email addresses (separated by commas) to receive email notifications if the launch fails for any reason.

    The email notification contains information that identifies the campaign and program, and a pointer to the error.

  • Skipped launch notifications to: enter the email addresses (separated by commas) to receive email notifications if a scheduled launch is skipped for any reason.

    The email notification contains information that identifies the campaign and program, and a pointer to the error.

Throttling

Throttling controls the rate at which messages are sent to prevent slow responses from too much volume. You can configure the following throttling options:

  • Limit launch rate to: sends the specified number of records per hour.

Organizational access control

Important: This feature is only available if it is enabled for your account.
