Add segmentation values
Add segmentation values to define the choices users can select when a segment appears on a supported record or transaction. For a custom segment named Department, the values are the department names users need to choose from. Add the values while creating a segment or editing an existing one from Menu > Administration > Customization > Segments.
Before you begin
You need the Administrator access profile or the Customization: create fields and segments permission set.
Add segmentation values

Open Menu > Administration > Customization > Segments.

Start one of the following workflows:

To add values to a new segment, select Create segment and enter the Segment name and Segment ID.

To add values to an existing segment, find it, open its row action menu, and select Edit.

Under Add segmentation values, enter a value and select Add value.

Repeat the previous step for each value that users must be able to select.

Select Next, review Applies to, and then select Create for a new segment or Update for an existing segment.
The values become available where the segment applies.
