Rippling Integration
Use Menu > Accounting > Settings > Rippling Integration to connect QuickStart to Rippling, synchronize eligible payroll runs, and create the related payroll journal entries. The area also provides a payroll run history and a request log for investigating communication with Rippling.
Rippling Integration is available only when the feature is enabled and you have access to accounting preferences. The page contains these areas:
- Integration settings stores and validates the Rippling authentication token, payroll account mappings, and initial synchronization controls.
- Payroll runs lists regular and off-cycle payroll runs discovered during synchronization and lets you request another synchronization.
- Rippling request log lists recent requests without exposing the authentication token or payroll data.
Payroll journal entries
QuickStart processes paid and approved payroll runs. It creates only missing journal entries and skips an entry that was already created for the same payroll run and journal type. An approved run can create an accrual journal. A paid run can also create a settlement journal. Review the result after every request because failed entries are not retried automatically.
After the integration is configured, QuickStart schedules payroll synchronization daily. You can also request synchronization from the Payroll runs page. Both paths use the same queue and do not run overlapping synchronizations.
