Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a second verification step after your first authentication method. It helps protect your QuickStart account if another person obtains your password.
QuickStart supports authenticator apps that comply with the OATH TOTP standard. The app generates a 6-digit verification code. During setup, QuickStart also provides single-use 8-digit backup codes for times when you cannot access the app.
You normally configure 2FA during sign-in. After setup, use My preferences > Security and authentication > Two-factor authentication (2FA) to change the authenticator app or replace the backup codes.
The 2FA category is not displayed when SSO is your only authentication method.
