Review and Refine Customizations
This topic describes functionality available in NetSuite Next. NetSuite Next is being made available to customers in phases, so these features may not yet be available in your account. You'll receive in-app notifications when your account is eligible for NetSuite Next.
Customizations will continue to work as usual in NetSuite Next. However, if you use scripts that work with the user interface, you might need to adjust them.
Customizations that reflect old processes or duplicate existing functionality can reduce clarity. Review your account for:

Legacy workflows that no longer match your current business processes

Duplicate or overlapping automation

Custom fields that are rarely used

Scripts that need modernization
If your account uses custom record types, custom transaction types, or custom fields, review whether they include clear AI descriptions. AI descriptions help NetSuite AI features understand what custom objects are for, how they are used, and what data they contain. This can make AI-generated answers more relevant when users ask questions about customized business data.
