AI Description for Custom Object Definitions

AI descriptions explain the purpose, meaning, and business context of your custom objects. NetSuite AI features, such as NetSuite AI Connector and Ask Oracle, use this information to provide relevant answers to questions about your custom objects.

You can add AI descriptions to custom record types, custom transaction types, custom fields, and custom segments.

AI Description Validation

When you save a new or changed nonempty AI description, NetSuite validates it. AI features use the description only after it passes validation. If the description doesn't meet validation requirements, update it and save again. If NetSuite can't validate the description immediately, it validates the description automatically later. AI features don't use the description when validation is pending or if it fails validation.

Descriptions added in the AI description field are used by NetSuite AI features, such as the following:

Ask Oracle - Enables users to ask natural language questions about your NetSuite account, including details from your custom records. For more information, see Ask Oracle.
