Adding an AI Description for Custom Segment Applications

Use the AI description for segment applications field to describe a custom segment one time for all its applications. The description helps supported AI features understand the segment consistently wherever it appears.

To add an AI description for custom segment applications:

1. Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Custom Segments.

2. Create a custom segment or edit an existing custom segment. For more information, see Creating a Custom Segment and Editing Custom Segments.

3. In the Details area, enter a description in the AI description for segment applications field. Explain the business purpose of the segmentation and what it means for the records or transaction lines where the segment is applied. 4. Click Save.

NetSuite uses this description for the custom fields generated when you apply the segment. You can't set a different AI description for an individual segment application or its generated custom field. For more information, see Guidelines for Writing an AI Description.
