Details Tab

The Details tab allows the user to make final notes about a task, capture their own signature and capture client name, emails and signature to record completion of the task.

This tab contains one screen. This screen is known as the Details screen.

Even after the data has been saved to the cloud the data is still editable and updated data may be saved over existing data.

Details screen in detail

This screen allows the user to record the final information for the selected task. By default, the Details tab is set to mandatory completion and the Details screen cannot save information until there is data in the Technician Signature drawing box. This means that the user must sign on this screen and save the data before the Status of the task can be set to Complete.

Optionally the user can also record actions taken, close the entire case of tasks if necessary and record the name, email address and signature of the customer representative.

Discard Changes button

To allow the user to clear any changes that have been made within the Details screen.

Shows the alert below.

If the user presses OK on the alert, then Field Service Mobile reverts the contents of all data entry fields back to the previous values.

If no details data has been saved previously for the selected task, then all data entry items will be set to default values.

If details data has been saved previously for the selected task, then all values revert to their previous values when the details data was last saved.

If the user presses Cancel on alert, then the alert is hidden, and no changes are made.

Once changes are made to any of the data entry items within the screen.

Shows the alert “Are you sure you want to discard your changes?"

Save button

To allow the user to save the entered values for each data entry item.

Save the values into a new details record, showing the Saving To Cloud indicator while this happens.

Once the data has been saved, either locally or in the cloud the Saving To Cloud indicator is hidden.

When the Actions Taken text box and the Technician Signature drawing box both contain data.

Actions Taken text box

To allow the user to record text comments regarding the task.

Case Closed checkbox

To allow the user to mark the entire case as closed.

If this checkbox is ticked when the data is saved and then the selected task is completed, then any other tasks in the case are set to closed.
