The Contact tab allows the user to:

Contact List screen in detail

The Contact List screen displays the basic contact information for all contacts for the selected task.

Contact list

To display contact information related to the selected task to the user. Also, to allow the user to navigate to the Contact Details screen where they can all available information for a particular contact.

When the user presses anywhere within a row in the Contacts list the Contact Details screen is shown.

Contact Details screen in detail

The Contact Details screen shows the user more detail, such as a mobile/cell number. This screen also allows to press on a phone number to launch the mobile device’s phone dealer app to automatically dial the number. Also, the user can press on the email address to launch the mobile device’s default email app to create a new email with the contact’s email address automatically filled in.

Toggle Selected Task Details Screen Visibility button

To allow the user access to functions on the Selected Task Details screen.

This button, positioned in the Control Bar, spans the entire width of the screen except where any other buttons are positioned.

Inside this button the name of the selected contact is shown.

Email text display field

To display the email address of the selected contact person.

To function as a button to allow the user to launch their mobile device’s default email app to email the selected contact person.

When the user presses anywhere on the displayed email address the mobile device’s default email app is launched, a new email is loaded with the selected contact person’s email address already filled out in the To field.

Phone text display field

To display the phone number of the selected contact person.

To function as a button to allow the user to launch their mobile device’s default phone app to phone the selected contact person.

When the user presses anywhere on the displayed phone number the Field Service Mobile app will ask the mobile device to dial the displayed number.

Depending on the actual device used, it will most likely ask the user whether they want to dial the number first. If the user agrees to making the call the number will then actually be dialled.
