Generating an Insight on a Comparative Balance Sheet
With Narrative Insights, you can use generative AI to summarize your Comparative Balance Sheet. It helps you quickly assess changes in financial position, liquidity, and equity across periods. The insight provides a summary of changes in account balances, equity totals, potential risks and opportunities, and other financial metrics. It reflects only the filtered data shown in your report.

The Enable Narrative Insights preference on the AI Preferences page controls whether you can generate insights. This preference is enabled by default. For more information, see Managing Narrative Insights Preferences.
To generate an insight on the Comparative Balance Sheet:

Go to Reports > Financial > Comparative Balance Sheet (Administrator).

Filter the report to include only the information you want the insight to reflect.

Click the Generate Insight button.
The Narrative Insights dialog is displayed. You can generate the insight again at any time by clicking the Generate Insight button.
Insights may differ each time they're generated, even when you're viewing the same data.
The content in the Narrative Insights dialog is generated using AI. The information provided may not be completely free of errors or fully accurate.
