Spain-Specific Financial Reports

Note:

To access the Spain Localization SuiteApp documentation in Spanish of Spain (español de España), see Spain Localization.

The Spain Localization SuiteApp provides you with financial reports specific to Spain. You can access these reports at two different places in NetSuite, which are detailed in the sections below.

Sourcing strategy information:

Financial Reports on the Saved Reports Tab

Note:

To properly visualize Spain Reports, make sure that your Spain Chart of Accounts is correctly uploaded. If your account is customized, remember to include it in the financial report to visualize it.

To access this set of financial reports, go to Reports > Saved Reports. On the Saved Reports tab, you can see the following Spain-specific financial reports provided by this SuiteApp:

  • Balance de Situación (Balance Sheet for Spain)

  • Balance de Sumas y Saldos (Trial Balance for Spain)

  • Cuenta de Pérdidas y Ganancias (Profit and Loss Account for Spain)

  • Libro Diario (Journal for Spain)

  • Libro Mayor (General Ledger for Spain)

These reports display financial information about your business. You can customize them by adding, reordering, or removing fields from your financial data. Reports Balance de Situación (Balance Sheet for Spain) and Cuenta de Pérdidas y Ganancias (Profit and Loss Account for Spain) have editable layouts.

To customize a financial report layout:

  1. Go to Reports > Saved Reports and click on ES Balance de Situación or ES Cuenta de Pérdidas y Ganancias.

  2. In the Subsidiary Context field, select your subsidiary.

  3. Click Refresh.

  4. Click Customize to edit the layout of your report.

  5. On the Financial Report Builder page, you can edit different parameters of your report. For more information about financial report customizations, see Financial Report Builder.

  6. After you are done customizing your report, click Save As. This action creates a new copy of your customized report and saves it among other reports on the Saved Reports tab.

  7. After saving your report, you automatically return to the report page. If you want to continue customizing your report, click on Return To Customization and repeat steps 5 and 6.

Note:

All Spain-specific financial reports on the Saved Reports page are currently only available in Spanish. English translations of report titles are only mentioned in this document.

Spain-Specific Workbook and Datasets

To access this set of financial reports:

    • For roles that use the accounting center, go to Reports > Spain Reports > Book of Issued and Received Invoices for Spain.

    • For roles that use other types of centers, go to the Analytics tab on the NetSuite navigation menu.

On these pages, the Spain Localization SuiteApp provides you with the Spain-specific workbook Book of Issued and Received Invoices for Spain. This workbook displays information about your sales and purchases. You can use pivot tables within the workbook to monitor your issued and received invoices and customize them by adding, reordering, or removing fields from related records. Click on this workbook to access it. After that, you can see the following datasets that belong to this workbook:

  • Book of Issued Invoices

  • Book of Received Invoices

Important:

Currently, this workbook and datasets can only be accessed by the Administrator roles. If you want the Accountant and CFO roles to have access to these reports, you need to share the workbook and datasets with them. For more information, see Accessing and Sharing Workbooks and Datasets.

The root record type for these datasets is a transaction. You can filter your workbook either by date or transaction type. Using filters allows you to generate issued and received invoices for a specific period or transactions. If you want to hide some of the tax codes from the report, such as the Reverse Charge tax codes, you can filter them out.

Important:

This workbook and datasets are locked, which means that you cannot edit them. If you want to customize them, you should make a copy by clicking Save > Save As in the upper right corner of your Workbook page. Saving your workbook before customizing it also prevents losing these customizations when a new version of the SuiteApp is released.
