Specialized User: Site Operator
The Specialized User: Site Operator role is a standard role with predefined permissions which grants users access to features within NetSuite necessary to perform operational functions. You can assign this role to managers who oversee specific physical locations within a larger business network, such as franchises or hospitality groups, including restaurants, retail stores, or clinics.
A user with the Specialized User: Site Operator role has the ability to:

Enter or scan bills and credits for processing and approve bills.

Review store sales data from Point of Sale (POS) systems.

View selected financial reports, such as store-level profit and loss statements, and enter budgets specific to each location.

View items and pricing and record physical inventory counts.

Customizing the Specialized User: Site Operator Role
You can customize this role by creating a custom role based on the Specialized User: Site Operator role. This allows you to limit or modify the standard permissions to fit user needs. For more information, see Customizing and Creating Roles and Setting Permissions.
You can remove permissions but cannot add any permissions outside the standard role. Additionally, you cannot grant greater access than the standard permissions allow. However, you can reduce access levels as needed. If users need to access permissions that are not available in this user type, please contact your NetSuite account manager to purchase a general access license.
Managing the Specialized User: Site Operator Role
Assigning only the standard or a custom Specialized User: Site Operator role to an employee counts toward the Specialized User: Site Operator license. Assigning it along with other general access roles counts toward the general access license instead.
You can assign multiple Specialized User: Site Operator roles based on your company's purchased licenses. See the number of purchased and used licenses on the Billing Information page.
Access this page by going to Setup > Company > View Billing Information. Click the Billable Components subtab and look for Specialized User: Site Operator in the Component column. The Current Provisioned Qty column shows the number of purchased licenses. The Current Used Qty column shows how many licenses are currently in use.
