U.S. Sales Tax Reports

The U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp works with accounts that have enabled the SuiteTax feature. You can use the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp to filter, set up, and generate your sales tax transaction data in SuiteAnalytics workbooks. The following reports are included:

The U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp supports only OneWorld Accounts due to dependency on the subsidiaries feature. The U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp is also dependent on the multi-currency feature

Installing the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp

To use the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp, you must enable some additional features and install relevant SuiteApps.

Important:

You must enable the following features before installing the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp.

Required Features

In NetSuite, go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.

After you have enabled the required features, install the following SuiteApps:

The U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp supports only OneWorld Accounts due to dependency on the subsidiaries feature. The U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp is also dependent on the multi-currency feature

When you have completed the prerequisites, you can install the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp.

To install the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp:

  1. Go to the NetSuite Marketplace.

  2. See Installing from the SuiteApp Marketplace for instructions.

The U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp is a managed SuiteApp. After you install the SuiteApp, your accounts are automatically updated.

Using the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp

To generate your sales tax reports, you can access a filtering page to select the report and criteria. You can then use SuiteAnalytics to generate the report as a workbook. For more information, see SuiteAnalytics Workbook Overview.

To generate a sales tax report with the U.S. Sales Tax Reports SuiteApp:

  1. Go to Reports > Tax > US Tax Reports.

  2. From the Report list, select the sales tax report you want to generate.

  3. If you use subsidiaries, from the Subsidiary list, select the subsidiary to filter this report by.

  4. (Optional) If you use a third-party tax filing partner, from the Filing Partners list, select a filing partner.

  5. To filter the report by date, select a start and end date in the Date Range field. You also can click one of the corresponding buttons to select a predefined date range:

    • This Week

    • This Month

    • This Quarter

    • This Year.

  6. (Optional) If you use accounting books, in the Accounting Book field, select the accounting book to filter this report by.

  7. Click Generate Report.
