Associating Tax Regime and Line of Business With Subsidiaries, Customers, and Vendors

You can associate tax regimes and lines of business with subsidiaries, customers, and vendors.

To associate a tax regime and a line of business with a subsidiary, customer, or vendor:

  1. Go to the list of subsidiaries, customers, or vendors.

    • For subsidiaries, go to Setup > Company > Classifications > Subsidiaries.

    • For customers, go to Lists > Relationships > Customers.

    • For vendors, go to Lists > Relationships > Vendors.

  2. Click Edit next to the company or individual you want.

  3. In the SuiteTax Latam Engine Line of Business field, select the line of business in which the company or individual operates.

  4. In the SuiteTax Latam Engine Tax Regime field, select the tax regime to which the company or individual adheres.

  5. Click Save.

Note:

To apply rules to the companies or individuals that adhere to certain tax regimes and lines of business, you must create tax determination rules. The rules must use this information as criteria for determining taxes. For more information, see the following help topics:
