Associating Tax Regime and Line of Business With Subsidiaries, Customers, and Vendors

You can associate tax regimes and lines of business with subsidiaries, customers, and vendors.

Associating Tax Regime and Line of Business with Subsidiaries

You can associate a tax regime and a line of business with a subsidiary.

To associate a tax regime and a line of business with a subsidiary:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Classifications > Subsidiaries.

  2. Click Edit next to the subsidiary you want.

  3. In the SuiteTax Latam Engine Line of Business field, select the line of business in which the subsidiary operates.

  4. In the SuiteTax Latam Engine Tax Regime field, select the tax regime to which the subsidiary adheres.

  5. Click Save.

Associating Tax Regime and Line of Business with Customers

You can associate a tax regime and a line of business with a customer.

To associate a tax regime and a line of business with a customer:

  1. Go to Lists > Relationships > Customers.

  2. Click Edit next to the customer you want.

  3. Under Classification, in the SuiteTax Latam Engine Line of Business field, select the line of business in which the customer operates.

  4. In the SuiteTax Latam Engine Tax Regime field, select the tax regime to which the customer adheres.

  5. Click Save.

Associating Tax Regime and Line of Business with Vendors

You can associate a tax regime and a line of business with a vendor.

To associate a tax regime and a line of business with a vendor:

  1. Go to Lists > Relationships > Vendors.

  2. Click Edit next to the customer you want.

  3. Under Classification, in the SuiteTax Latam Engine Line of Business field, select the line of business in which the vendor operates.

  4. In the SuiteTax Latam Engine Tax Regime field, select the tax regime to which the vendor adheres.

  5. Click Save.

Note:

To apply rules to the companies or individuals that adhere to certain tax regimes and lines of business, you must create tax determination rules. The rules must use this information as criteria for determining taxes. For more information, see the following help topics:
