Manufacturing Mobile Preferences
Administrators and production managers can define Manufacturing Mobile preferences at an account level with the Mfg Mobile – preferences record.
This record is automatically available in your account to configure the available preferences.
You can configure the following preferences:
-
Check the Enable the All Balance Quantity Button box to show or hide the All Balance Quantity button in scanner flow.
With this preference checked by default, the button appears in the scanner flow. The All Balance Quantity button enables you to select the balance quantity as the default quantity when you enter a quantity during consumption and production reporting.
Balance quantity is the work order quantity minus the reported quantity.
For more information, see Reporting Consumption or Reporting Production.
-
Check the Default Real Time Build for Work Orders box to enable default real time build for work orders.
Manufacturing Mobile supports default real time build when you create work orders. The Real Time Build box is checked on the Manufacturing Mobile Work Order Form (Mfg Mobile - Work Order Form).
Regardless of your real time build setting on the form, you can still check or clear the Real Time Build box. For more information, see Creating a Manufacturing Mobile Work Order.
-
Use the Maximum Number of Line Items for a No-code Solution list to set up to 50 maximum line items to trigger a no-code solution.
By default, Manufacturing Mobile does not support a no-code solution.
Note:Before you can enable no-code solution supported by the SCM Mobile framework, you must configure this preference. For more information, see Mobile Device Requirements and Customizations.
-
Use the Past Work Orders Days to be shown field to enter the number of days from today to be considered for past dated work orders to be listed in the scanner.
For example, if you set the value to 30 you include work orders created within the past 30 days. If you do not set this preference, the value is set to 90 by default.
-
Check the Enable MMobile Backflush Feature box to set backflush at the component level.
Manufacturing Mobile supports automated backflush for lot controlled items on a FEFO (First Expiry First Out) basis. For more information, see Backflush Logic.
-
Check the Build Even if Components are Insufficient During Backflush box to allow a component with insufficient quantity in a staging bin for work orders to be processed.
If you set this preference, you consume the quantity even if it is less than the quantity required to complete a work order. Otherwise, the build or completion fails in the backend. For more information, see Backflush Logic.
-
Errors are displayed in the work messages page. Such as highlighting components that don’t have enough quantity were not issued. Completion of production is not stopped.
-
Check the Enable Automated Backflush for Alloted Items box when your organization issues lot items manually and these lot items cannot be backflushed.
