Vendor Metadata in Profitability and Cost Management Sync
Customers in NetSuite can use NSPC Vendor Planning Category values to group vendors into different categories and create their own custom hierarchy. When you import Vendor metadata to your Profitability and Cost Management, the NSPC Vendor Planning Category values are used to build the Vendor metadata hierarchy.
You can define the NSPC Vendor Planning Category on a vendor record under the Custom subtab.
The Vendor metadata hierarchy is built with the following logic:
-
If a vendor from NetSuite has an NSPC Vendor Planning Category, the NSPC Vendor Planning Category is used in your Profitability and Cost Management as the parent.
-
If a vendor from NetSuite doesn't have an NSPC Vendor Planning Category, the top-level vendor is used in your Profitability and Cost Management as the parent.
