Production Control Board

The Production Control Board lets you review key work order information in one place. You can monitor production progress, identify work orders that need attention, and take available actions from one page.

The board includes WIP and non-WIP work orders. Use the Work Orders tab to review work orders and component shortages. Use the Insights tab to review production trends.

Opening the Production Control Board

1. Go to Transactions > Manufacturing > Production Control Board.

2. If you use NetSuite OneWorld, select a Subsidiary.

3. Select a Location.

4. Click Customize to select which charts appear on the Insights page.

5. To view a work order summary, search for or select a work order in the View Work Order Summary dropdown list. The Work Order Summary window displays the work order's status, risk indicators, production progress, quantities, and planned and actual production dates. Click the assembly name to open the related assembly record.

   The Operation table shows each operation's work center, status, and completion progress. Click an operation name to open the corresponding operation task record.

   Click Close to close the summary window and return to the Production Control Board.

Reviewing Production Insights

Use the Insights tab to review production volume, production cost, and scrap trends. The charts support daily, weekly, and monthly views.

The following charts are available:

Chart	Description
WIP Balance	Total open work in process balance, with debit and credit amounts. This chart appears only when the Manufacturing WIP feature is enabled.
Components with Shortage	Lists of components with shortages across released work orders.
Scrap Trend	Scrap value over time, using the amounts on scrap lines from work-order completions. This chart appears when the Manufacturing WIP feature is enabled.
Top Produced Assemblies Trend - Volume	Production-volume trends for up to five of the most-produced assemblies.
Production Cost Trend	Production cost over time, using assembly-build credit lines excluding variance lines, and credit lines from component issues and work-order completions.
Top Produced Assemblies Trend - Cost	Production-cost trends for up to five top-produced assemblies, based on cost.

Reviewing Work Orders

On the Work Orders tab, you can review work orders by status, such as active, at risk, in process, ready, recently completed work orders, and work orders to release.

The following work order details are available:

• WO#

• Status

• Risk

• Assembly Item

• Production Start Date

• Production End Date

• Demand

• Required by Date

• Built / Total Quantity

• Actions

For WIP work orders that use Manufacturing Routing, expand the work order row to review its operations. The expanded list shows the operation name, work center, status, completed quantity and total quantity, and start and end dates and times. Click an operation name to open its manufacturing operation task.

The Actions column provides the actions available for each work order. Manufacturing transaction actions follow the actions available on the work-order record:
