Chart of Accounts Mapping to Norway Standard Accounts in Accounts with SuiteTax

Important:

You must map your Chart of Accounts to produce a compliant SAF-T report.

For SuiteTax accounts, Norway Tax Reports provides the Norway SAF-T Accounts mapping instance under the GL Accounts 2.0 mapping type in the Universal Mapping Assistant (UMA) SuiteApp. For more information, see Universal Mapping Assistant.

The mapping instance is available after Norway Tax Reports is installed in an account that uses SuiteTax. Use it to map applicable general ledger accounts to the following Norway SAF-T values:

For more information, see Mapping Type: GL Accounts SAF-T 2.0.

The available mapping values are based on the official Skatteetaten SAF-T classification lists.

Before generating the Norway SAF-T Financial report, review the account mappings and make sure that applicable general ledger accounts are mapped to the appropriate Grouping Category and Grouping Code. For more information about using the Universal Mapping Assistant SuiteApp, see Creating Mappings in the Universal Mapping Assistant SuiteApp

Norway Tax Reports maintains the supplied Norway SAF-T mapping values during SuiteApp updates. Existing valid account mappings are preserved.

Important:

Do not use the Set up Norway SAF-T button if SuiteTax is enabled in your account.

Note:

Non-posting and statistical account type accounts aren't validated for missing account numbers as they're not exported and used in the SAF-T report. This means that you don't need to map these accounts to successfully generate the report. For more information about these account types, see Non-Posting Account Registers and Using Statistical Accounts.
