Analyzing Trends in the OpEx by Dept Dashboard
Use the OpEx by Dept Dashboard to analyze operating expense trends and year-over-year (YoY) variances by Department for the selected Account.
This section includes general instructions for using these interactive subforms in the OpEx by Dept Dashboard:

OpEx by Department Trend – Shows the trend from historical to projected operating expense by Department for the selected Account. You can see values as an amount or percentage of total expenses. The subform lets you drill down into specific Departments for the selected Account.

OpEx by Department: YoY Variance – Shows the percentage variances between the current and previous year by month, year-to-date, full year, and next year variances by Department. The subform lets you drill down into specific Departments for the selected Account.
To analyze the operating expense trends:
Maximize or refresh each trend graph by clicking the Maximize icon and Refresh icon in each subform

From the Home page, click the OpEx card.

To open OpEx Dashboards, click the 2 tab on the left.

Click OpEx by Dept Dashboard.

In the Point of View (POV), choose a Version, Subsidiary, Currency, and Account.

To review the operating expense trend by Department for an Account:

From the dropdown list in the OpEx by Department Trend subform, choose one of these options:

To see the graph by value, select Amount.

To see the graph by percentage of the total expenses, select % of Total Expenses.

(Optional) Click on a line in the graph or a Department name in the legend to drill down into the Department's operating expense. Drilling shows the operating expenses at the individual Account level.

To review the YoY variance percentage by Department:

Hover over a series bar in the OpEx by Department: YoY Variance graph to see the series name and variance percentage.

(Optional) Click a bar in the graph to see detailed data of the Department's operating expense for the selected Account. Or, click the Department name in the legend.
