Analyzing Trends in the OpEx by Account Dashboard

Use the OpEx by Account Dashboard to analyze the OpEx by Account Trend and OpEx by Account year-over-year (YoY) variance graph.

This section includes general instructions for using these interactive subforms OpEx by Account Dashboard:

• OpEx by Account Trend – Shows the trend by Account for the selected Department. You can see values as an amount or percentage of total expenses. The subform lets you drill down into specific Accounts.

• OpEx by Account: YoY Variance – Shows the percentage variances for the selected Department between the current and previous year by month, year-to-date, full year, and next year variances. The subform lets you drill down into specific Accounts.

To analyze the operating expense trends:

Maximize or refresh each trend graph by clicking the Maximize icon and Refresh icon in each subform .

1. From the Home page, click the OpEx card.

2. To open OpEx Dashboards, click the 2 tab on the left.

3. Click OpEx by Account Trend.

4. In the Point of View (POV), choose a Version, Subsidiary, Currency, and Department.

5. To review the YoY variance percentage by Account:

   1. From the dropdown list in the OpEx by Account Trend subform, choose one of these options:

      • To see the graph by value, select Amount.

      • To see the graph by percentage of the total revenue, select % of Total Expenses.

   2. (Optional) Click on a line in the graph or an Account name in the legend to drill into the Account's operating expense.

6. To review the YoY variance percentage by Account:

   1. Hover over a series bar in the graph to see the series name and variance percentage.

   2. (Optional) Click a bar in the graph to drill into an Account's operating expense for the selected Department. Or, click the Department name in the legend.
