Analyzing Trends in the OpEx by Account Dashboard

The OpEx by Account Dashboard shows the OpEx by Account Trend and OpEx by Account year-over-year (YoY) variance graph. You can use this dashboard to analyze OpEx trends and YoY growth variances by Account for the selected Department. You can view the trends an amount or percentage of total expenses. The subforms include the option to drill into specific Accounts.

To analyze the operating expense trends:

Note:

You can maximize and refresh each trend graph individually by clicking the Maximize icon Screenshot of the Maximinze icon and Refresh icon in each subform Screenshot of the Refresh icon, respectively.

  1. From the Home page, click the OpEx card.

  2. To go to OpEx Dashboards, click the 2 tab on the left-hand side.

  3. Click OpEx by Account Trend.

  4. In the Point of View (POV), select a Version, Subsidiary, Currency, and Department.

  5. Click the Go icon Sceenshot of the Go icon in the POV to apply the changes.

  6. To review the YoY variance percentage by Account:

    1. From the Tracker list in the OpEx by Account Trend subform, select one of the following options:

      • To see the graph by value, select Amount.

      • To see the graph by percentage of the total revenue, select % of Total Expenses.

    2. Click the Go icon Sceenshot of the Go icon in the OpEx by Account Trend subform to apply the changes.

    3. (Optional) Click on a line in the graph or click the Account name in the legend to drill into the Account's operating expense.

  7. To review the YoY variance percentage by Account:

    1. Hover over a series bar in the graph to see the series name and variance percentage.

    2. (Optional) Click a bar in the graph to drill into the Account's operating expense in relation to the Department selected. Alternatively, click the Department name in the legend.
