Account Metadata Hierarchy in Planning and Budgeting Sync

Planning and Budgeting Sync lets you customize upper-level members of account metadata that you export from NetSuite.

To set up the parent hierarchy of account metadata:

  1. In NetSuite, go to NetSuite EPM > Planning and Budgeting > Configuration Checklist.

    You'll see a list of features you can set up for Planning and Budgeting in your NetSuite account.

  2. For The Account Metadata Hierarchy configurations are set, click View.

    This opens a page where you can enter or update the parent hierarchy of account metadata.

  3. When finished, click Save.

  4. (Optional) To exclude a parent from the metadata hierarchy, do the following:

    1. Go to NetSuite EPM > Planning and Budgeting > Manage Saved Searches.

    2. Click Customize or Edit next to the Accounts metadata saved search of your choice.

    3. Under the Hierarchy Settings section, check the Exclude Upper Level Hierarchy Members box.

    Important:

    You shouldn't delete the record of account metadata hierarchy directly from NetSuite. If you do, NetSuite recreates it the next time you update the SuiteApp, which overrides your custom settings in Data Exchange.
