NetSuite and Salesforce Entity Syncs

Entities in NetSuite include Customers with their associated Contacts and Subsidiaries. Entities in Salesforce are Accounts with their associated Contacts. Salesforce has no equivalent to the NetSuite Subsidiary, and so the Salesforce Connector creates a custom Subsidiary object in Salesforce.

Syncs send Customer data from NetSuite to Salesforce, and Account data from Salesforce to NetSuite. Syncs send Contact data from NetSuite to Salesforce, and Contact data from Salesforce to NetSuite. These syncs ensure that Customer data in NetSuite is the same as the Account data in Salesforce.

There is no equivalent of a NetSuite Subsidiary in Salesforce, but for Salesforce to know under which subsidiary to create the synced records, the Subsidiary sync is essential. For all syncs to succeed, NetSuite Subsidiary data must also be made available in Salesforce. The Subsidiary sync from NetSuite creates a custom Subsidiary object in Salesforce.

The syncs documented in this section include:

For Entity syncs to succeed, lookups must be defined in NetSuite to ensure that the syncs will be triggered as expected. For more information, see Manage Lookups.
