New Features and Enhancements

Configuration

  • A new config option usesessionkey has been added to url type elements. When set to true, this option automatically adds the current session key as a URL parameter to the link being accessed.

    This allows users to configure external access to the Field Service Management API from within the mobile application without the need to manually provide a key.

  • Automated work order cleanup logic that is triggered upon Case record deletion has now been modernized to provide better feedback when errors occur such that the Case & Task record structure is never left in an invalid state.

User Roles and Permissions

To enhance security, permissions have been further adjusted on the Field Service System role which has now also been applied to all Field Service User Event script deployments.

License and Account Management

A change has been introduced regarding how Field Service Management tracks licenses, and for licenses to continue to function as expected, users will need to ensure that their account successfully updates its license details post upgrade.

Prior to your account being upgraded to 2024.06.1, users should mark any Field Service Error records related to the ACCOUNT_SYNC action type as Recovered.

To do this:

  1. Search for “Field Service Error” in the global search bar in NetSuite, and select “Page: Field Service Error”

  2. On the list view, identify all errors related to the customdeploy_nx_account deployment. For errors that have the action type of ACCOUNT_SYNC mark those errors as Recovered by checking the Recovered box and saving the record.

  3. There may be multiple unrecovered errors. Ensure all errors related to the ACCOUNT_SYNC type are marked as recovered.

Bug Fixes

  • 772441: Resolved an issue where bins set on item fulfillment records did not match the bins on related Field Service consumable records.

  • 772432: An issue was resolved on the mobile app where the search on list view was not being retained when navigating away from page.

  • 772410: An issue was resolved where user could not enter correctly the value to the Date Time block and instead had default time populated.

  • 772416:An issue was resolved where user could not see the correct amount rounded to the exact precision decimal places.

  • 772417: An issue was resolved where user could see duplicate options in some dropdown fields.

  • 772437: As issue was resolved where task details in task view on mobile was not wrapping long text.

  • 772459: An issue was resolved that caused an error when sending task notifications in the situation that the session time zone causes a task times to span multiple days.

  • 772448: An issue was resolved that caused the Case Contact field value sourced from Customer or Project to be cleared after field options on the form load.

  • 772428:An issue was resolved where the Scheduler failed to load with a Custom Lists permission violation error for users other than the one that originally installed the Field Service Management bundle.

  • An issue was resolved where user could not see time block when they clicked on the clock icon, under Time.
