Allocate High Sales Order Volume
NetSuite considers high sales order volume to be more than 100,000 lines per month. This many orders can cause real-time inventory allocation issues, like data inconsistencies or failed allocations.
To enable supply allocation:

Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.

Click the Items & Inventory subtab.

Check the Multi-Location Inventory box.

Check the Supply Allocation box.

To start the required data check, click Save.

On the Supply Allocation Migration page, click Submit.

If you need to update the data check status, click Refresh.
After the data check finishes, the system lets you know if it was successful.
If the data check isn't successful, you'll see a message telling you to contact NetSuite Customer Support.

If the data check is successful, go back to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.

Click the Items & Inventory subtab.

Check the Supply Allocation box.

Click Save.
Show sales order line behavior when supply allocation is enabled:

Go to Transactions > Sales > Enter Sales Orders > List.

On the Sales Orders page, click the sale order you want to edit.

To add an order line, in the Items subtab and click Add:

Select an Item.

Enter a Quantity.

Enter a Rate.

Enter a Rate.
In the Items subtab, you'll see columns for Allocated Supply, Allocation Strategy, Supply Required by Date, and Expected Ship Date.

In Supply Required by Date column, click Earliest Availability icon.

If there's a supply shortage, Earliest Available Date is today's date plus the Available to Promise (ATP) lead time.

After you select a location, NetSuite shows the Expected Ship Date, which is automatically calculated based on allocated supplies.

If Allocated Supply and Committed are both zero, the Expected Ship Date is today's date plus 7 days.
