Quick Start Guide for Managers

Important:

Starting August 5, 2025, SuitePeople Workforce Management apps that are not using the latest version will automatically be updated.

To safely upgrade to the latest version and avoid interruptions later, complete required actions before August 5, 2025.

To log into the SuitePeople Workforce Management phone app, use the same login information you use to log into SuitePeople Workforce Management online.

Navigating the SuitePeople Workforce Management Phone App

After you log in, the SuitePeople Workforce Management app shows you all the published shifts for today.

You can filter by location, or show only your shifts on one page.

The dates show each day of the month and week. You can move forward or back and select any day you want to see shifts for. Click the Today button to jump to the current day.

In the navigation bar, you'll see the time clock if you company and location have it turned on.

Viewing Employees' Clock-in and Clock-out Events

If an employee hasn't clocked in at the start of their shift, you'll get a notification. In the Shifts view, you'll see a red exclamation point and a note showing how many minutes late they are.

When an employee clocks in, a clock icon shows up next to their shift. The clock-in time appears in black, and the scheduled finish time shows up in grey.

When the employee clocks out, the clock-out time appears in black and replaces the scheduled finish time. These times stay visible for 15 hours, then go back to showing the scheduled times.

Mobile Time and Attendance

If Mobile Time and Attendance is activated for your account, employees see Time Clock on the bottom menu bar.

When an employee clocks in, the Time Clock shows their next shift as an option to clock in to. If that's the shift they've come in for, they can tap Punch-In. If they've been called in for an unscheduled shift or need to work at a different job or location, they can tap Change to pick the new location or job.

If they're clocking in manually, employees see a list of locations they can clock in to. They just select a location and click Next.

Employees will then select a job from a list of eligible jobs for this location and then select Punch-In.

They'll see the following after they've successfully clocked in:

  • The current date and time

  • The At Location option or the Away from location option

  • The location and job of the clocked in shift

  • The Start Break option

  • The Punch Out option

At Location means the employee clocked in within 50 meters of the job site's address. You can check this during approvals by clicking the employee's timesheet shift in Weekly View. Away from Location means they clocked in off site, based on the address set in SuitePeople Workforce Management.

When employees take an unpaid break, they can click Start Break in the app. When they're ready to return, they click Finish Break to end the break and start the next part of their shift.
