Handling Common Packing and Shipping Issues
If you encounter issues when packing or shipping on the app, you can review the troubleshooting guidelines and instructions in this section.
Issue
Unable to process shipments without a cost estimate due to the following errors

You can check for missing or incorrect details. Verify that you can use the shipping method for your order.
Action: Verify that the order has the following details: valid shipping address, phone number, and addressee. On the order transaction, you can select the Calculate Rates icon to get an estimated shipping cost. For more information, see Shipping Address Validation.
If the order contains all the required shipping details, review the carrier’s guidelines for the shipping service or method. Make sure that you can use it for the shipment, its packages, and the destination.

Issue
Issue: Shipping Partner (CUSTOMSCRIPT_PACKSHIP_SHIPPING_PLUGIN): GENERAL_ERROR An unexpected error occurred: Error: Unable to calculate rates.
On order transactions, this message may appear after you try to calculate the shipping cost on the Shipping subtab. It may be due to the shipping service or method set up on the shipping item or the shipping address details. You may also encounter this issue if the NetSuite account has an outdated NetSuite Ship Central SuiteApp.
Action: Check the version of the NetSuite Ship Central SuiteApp on your NetSuite account and whether it displays an Update Available reminder. To update SuiteApps, see Installed Bundle Updates.
Review or update the shipping address details, including the addressee’s name and phone number. For more information about shipping costs, see Calculated Shipping Costs Within Ship Central.
