Copying a BOM Record
Copying a BOM enables you to reuse existing (legacy) work to create a new BOM. The following are reasons you might want to copy a BOM:

Create a new BOM to use the same current and future revisions

Create alternate BOMs with minor component changes for the same product

Update a product version with component updates
To copy a BOM:

As of NetSuite 2023.2, when you copy an assembly, the corresponding Bill of Materials (BOM) won't be copied.

Go to Lists > Supply Chain > Bill of Materials.

Beside the BOM you want to copy, click View.

Click Actions and then click Make Copy.

Change the copied Bill of Materials Name.
For example, change Engineering V1 BOM to Engineering V2 BOM.

Make other changes as necessary.

Click Save.
