Enabling or Disabling China Localization Features

The following describes the feature and steps on how to enable or disable certain China Localization Features.

Overview

NetSuite China Localization provides you the capability to activate and deactivate features that your organization does not need.

All features are enabled by default. By disabling these features, the fields and features in the related transactions and entity records will be hidden.

The following are the current features that can be enabled or disabled:

• China VAT Integration

  • Checking the China VAT Integration box enables the ability to export and import China VAT Invoices to the Golden Tax System. With this feature, you can export your China VAT Invoice transactions from NetSuite to the Golden Tax System. You can also import your transactions from the Golden Tax System to NetSuite. For more information, see Generating China VAT Transactions.

  • Clearing the China VAT Integration box will disable this feature. The custom fields in transaction records, entity records, and item records will be hidden. The Generate China VAT Transaction will also be hidden in the navigation.

    China VAT Integration can be re-enabled again in the future.

    Note:

    Merged and exported transactions after generating China VAT Invoices can be edited after this feature is disabled.

• China Cash Flow Statement

  • Checking the China Cash Flow Statement box enables the China Cash Flow Statement Report feature. This report shows activities that affect a company’s cash balance presented in the Chinese layout. This also adds the field China Cash Flow Item when making your transactions. For more information, see China Cash Flow Statement Report.

  • Clearing the China Cash Flow Statement box disables this feature. Deactivating this feature removes the China Cash Flow Item field and its related custom fields in your transactions, entity records, item records and chart of accounts. China Cash Flow report will not generate or show up in menu. China Cash Flow Item data in your existing transactions will not be deleted. If the China Cash Flow Item field is still visible after deactivating this feature, any value saved in the field when making a transaction will not be saved or collected.

Enable or Disable a China Localization Feature

The following describes the steps to enable or disable a China Localization feature.

To enable or disable a China Localization feature:

1. Go to Setup > China Localization > Configuration.

2. Click the Enable Features subtab.

3. Select a feature to enable or disable.

4. Clear the box of the feature to disable.

5. (Optional) To enable a feature, check the box of the feature to enable.

6. Click Save.
