Important Considerations Before Filing TDS Returns
Ensure to consider the following points before filing TDS tax returns:

You must have a valid Tax Deduction Account Number (TAN) and register for e-Filing.

An e-TDS must be prepared using the Return Preparation Utility (RPU) and validated using the File Validation Utility (FVU). The utilities can be downloaded from the Tin-NSDL website. Online TDS file formats must be in .txt format.

After the file is validated and generated, you can upload and submit it to your tax authority online.
