Setting Up Nexuses in SuiteTax

Review the India nexuses' tax configuration using the SuiteTax feature.

Ensure that you have set up the correct tax agency before creating a transaction.

Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) for India

TDS is a means of collecting tax under the Indian Income Tax Act of 1961.

The government of India introduced this concept to collect tax from the very source of income.

It also aims to deduct tax at the time of issuing an invoice or actual payment, whichever happens first.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) for India

GST is an indirect tax imposed on the supply of goods and services right from the manufacturer to the consumer.

Tax Collection at Source (TCS) for India

Tax Collected at Source (TCS) is an income tax that the seller collects on the sale of specific items from the buyer.

The seller should collect TCS from the buyer when deducting the amount payable or receiving the payable amount from the buyer, whichever is earlier.
