Setting Up India-specific Preferences
To setup your NetSuite account according to India-specific preferences, you must adjust your NetSuite Company settings.
Make sure that your NetSuite role has the appropriate permissions to set up company preferences specific to India.
To adjust NetSuite Company settings:

Go to Setup > Company > Company Information and do the following:

In the Currency field, set India Rupee as the company’s base currency.

In the Time Zone field, set (GMT+05:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi as company’s time zone. Individuals can set their personal time zones at Home > Set Preferences.

Go to Setup > Company > General Preferences and do the following:

Set the Date Format field as DD/MM/YYYY.

Set the Long Date Format as D Month YYYY.

Adjusting NetSuite User Preferences
As a best practice, define preferences at the company level. User preferences usually take precedence over the other preferences set for a role, subsidiary, or company. If a user is linked to a subsidiary, that user will inherit the settings set on the subsidiary record. For more information, see General Personal Preferences.
To set user preferences for India account:

Go to Home > Set Preferences.

Go to the General subtab and set the following locale-specific preferences:

On the Localization subtab, set the Language field to English (International).

On the Localization subtab, set the Time Zone field to (GMT+05:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi.

On the Formatting subtab, set the Date Format field to DD/MM/YYYY.
On the Formatting subtab, set the Long Date Format field to D Month YYYY.

Click Save.
