HR Dashboard Components Terminology

The following list includes terms that are used in HR Dashboard Components:

Active Employee – An employee whose records show the following:
- The hire date is on or before the present date.
- The termination date is empty, or it is after the present date.
Employees whose records show a hire date that is later than the termination date are rehired employees. They are also considered active.

Note:
The SuiteApp runs a script to count the total active employees. For more information about this script, see HR Dashboard Components Scripts. The number of active employees is used to calculate various metrics that are available to be added to the KPI Scorecard portlet. New Hire – An active employee whose hire date is within three months of the present date.
Terminated Employee– An employee whose employee records show the following:
- The termination date is not empty.
- The termination date is later than the hire date.
