Granting Roles Access to Variance Reports and Related Features

You must have granted the BOH Manager, FOH Manager and General Manager roles from the R & H edition, the permission to create Shelf-to-Sheet Templates and Count records. Creating and completing Shelf-to-Sheet Count records are required to trigger generation of the Actual vs. Theoretical variance reports.

The BOH Manager, FOH Manager and General Manager roles can trigger generation of the variance reports, which they can also view. Aside from the R & H roles, you can also grant permission to Administrator or other roles. For more information, see Granting Permissions to R & H Roles.

Setting Permissions for Actual vs. Theoretical Email Group

When completed Shelf-to-Sheet Count records are approved and variance reports are automatically generated, the Actual vs. Theoretical Email Group feature sends email notification to a specified group. For more information, see Setting the Actual vs. Theoretical Email Group.

Roles that can approve Shelf-to-Sheet Count records and view variance reports should be granted additional permissions to trigger the system to generate and send email notification to a specified group.

To Set Permissions for Actual vs. Theoretical Email Group:

  1. Go to Setup > Setup Manager > Users/Roles > User Management > Manage Roles.

  2. On the Manage Roles page, click the Edit link of the role that you want to grant permissions to trigger the system to generate and send email notifications to a specified group.

  3. On the Role page, go to the Permissions subtab and click the Custom Record subtab. In the Record sublist, add AVT Email Request and set the permission level to Create.

  4. Click the Setup subtab. In the Permission sublist, add SuiteScript and SuiteScript Scheduling. If they are already in the list, set SuiteScript to View level and SuiteScript Scheduling to Full level.

  5. Click Save.
