Fax

You must register with eFax® to fax from NetSuite. Go to www.efax.com to register before setting your fax preferences.

Note:

If you choose to register with eFax, be aware of the following:

  • When you send faxes from NetSuite, eFax validates your Sender Policy Framework (SPF) records in DNS. For more information, see the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) section in Email Best Practices.

  • Free eFax accounts don't work with NetSuite. You must set up a paid eFax account to use it with NetSuite.

Description

Customers Default to Fax Transactions

Check the Customers Default to Transactions box on the Fax subtab as needed.

Default to deliver customer transactions by printing, by email, by fax, or by a combination of the three. The delivery preferences you define will be set for all new customer records. You can change the settings for each customer as needed by checking or clearing the appropriate boxes.

Vendors Default to Fax Transactions

Check the Vendors Default to Transactions box on the Fax subtab as needed.

Default to deliver vendor transactions by printing, by email, by fax, or by a combination of the three. The delivery preferences you define will be set for all new vendor records. You can change the settings for each vendor as needed by checking or clearing the appropriate boxes.

Send Faxes Using

After you've registered with eFax, ensure eFax is selected in the dropdown.

Registered Email Address

Enter the email address you used to register with eFax.

Mode

Select standard or fine for your fax quality.

Send Cover Page

Check this box to send a cover page with your fax.

Send Confirmation Email

Check this box to receive an email message with a copy of the fax you sent.

Fax Template Folder

Select the File Cabinet folder where you want to store your fax templates in by default.

Prepend a '1' to Number When Sending a Fax

Check this box to add a 1 to the beginning of a fax number when dialing.
