Information for Troubleshooting Inventory Sync Issues in NetSuite Connector
Following are some important points for inventory and quantity fields:
-
Inventory syncs to the storefront—not from it. So, you shouldn't expect inventory to sync back to NetSuite, but items on orders from order sync will still affect your inventory.
-
Inventory syncs from NetSuite aren't instant. Most connectors support real-time price and quantity sync, but syncing can take a few minutes, depending on other running processes. If you don't use real-time sync, the sync runs every hour by default.
-
When syncing inventory from NetSuite locations (not a custom field), NetSuite Connector syncs the available quantity—not the quantity on hand. Quantity on hand covers everything in the warehouse, even what's committed to orders. Available quantity means the amount that's not committed—so that's what you can sell.
