If you have the Administrator role, you can do the following:

Customizing Invoice Forms

To use invoice presentation template features on your invoices, you must customize your preferred invoice form.

To customize your preferred invoice form:

  1. Go to Customization > Forms > Transaction Form.

  2. Click Customize next to your preferred invoice form.

  3. Set the following fields:

    1. In the Printing Type field, choose Advanced.

    2. In the Print Template field, select Invoice Presentation Print Template.

    3. In the Email Template field, select Invoice Presentation Email Template.

      Warning:

      Don't edit the contents of the Invoice Presentation Print and Email templates. Changing them could affect how the IPT SuiteApp works.

  4. Click Save.

Update Billing Information

To use invoice presentation template features on your invoices, you must enable the following in the billing information.

To update the biling information:

  1. Go to Set Up > Company > NetSuite Account Information > View Billing Information.

  2. Click the Add-On Modules subtab.

  3. Enable the following:

    • Charge Based Billing

    • Project Accounting and Management

Enabling Features

To use invoice presentation template features on your invoices, you must enable the following features.

To enable the required features:

  1. Go to Set up > Company > Enable Features.

  2. Click the Company subtab and check the following boxes:

    • Projects

    • Project Management

    • Multiple Units of Measure

  3. Click the Accounting subtab and check the following boxes:

    • Accounting

    • A/R

    • Accounting Periods

  4. Click the Transactions subtab and check the following boxes:

    • Charge Based Billing

    • Billing Operations

  5. Click the Employees subtab and check the following boxes:

    • Expense Reports

    • Per-Employee Billing Rates

    • Purchase Requests

    • Time Tracking

  6. Click the CRM subtab and check the following boxes:

    • Customer Relationship Management

    • Mail Merge

  7. Click the SuiteCloud subtab and check the following boxes:

    • Custom Records

    • Advanced PDF/HTML Templates

    • Client SuiteScript

    • Server SuiteScript

    • SuiteCloud Development Framework

  8. On a project record, set the Billing Type to Charge-Based.
