Creating exports

This feature enables users to export their reports to a certain file format.

To create an export option for a specific report:

  1. Go to Customization > List, Records, & Fields > Record Types, locate the CSR - Report row, and in this row, click the List link. This way, you can view the list of already existing reports and edit them.

Alternatively, you can go to Reports > Financial > Country-Specific Reports, use the dropdown list to select a report that you would like to add an export option to, and click the Open button next to the dropdown list.

  2. A new CSR-Report page opens.

  3. On this page, click the Exports subtab.

  4. Fill in the following fields:

    • CSR Export - Name - Enter a name for this export.

    • Format - Use this dropdown list to select a file format that you would like to export this report to. The available options are: CSV, XML, and PDF.

    • Extension - If you want your export file to have a standard extension (.csv, .xml, or .pdf), you can skip this field. However, if you want it to have a different extension, you must change the content of this field appropriately. Enter your extension in lowercase, without a preceding dot. For example: xmlx.

    • Template File - Every report created using the Country-Specific Reports SuiteApp is based on a HTML template stored in NetSuite File Cabinet (Documents > Files > File Cabinet). For each export, you must also specify the source template file. Use this list to do so.

  5. Once you fill in all required fields, click Add. Repeat this if you would like to assign multiple different exports to this report.

  6. Click Save to confirm your changes.

  7. Go to Reports > Financial > Country-Specific Reports, use the dropdown list to select a report that you have just edited, and click the Show Report button.

  8. Your report now contains at least one export button. Click it to export your report to the file format of your choice.
