Migrating an Existing EPM Planning Projects Implementation to Project Management (One-Time Setup)

If you have an existing EPM Planning Projects application, and you want to implement Project Management and the integration, you must first make updates to the EPM Planning Projects application, and then export projects and budgets to Project Management.

Perform these tasks after completing the setup steps documented in Setting Up Integration Between EPM Planning Projects and Project Management (One-Time Setup).

To migrate existing projects and project budgets created in EPM Planning Projects for use with Project Management:

  1. Make updates to the existing EPM Planning Projects application to support the integration. See Updating Existing EPM Planning Projects Applications to Use Project Management Cloud Integration.
  2. Export projects and project budgets from EPM Planning Projects to Project Management. See Exporting Project Data and Budgets from EPM Planning Projects to Project Management.

    After this initial setup, whenever you create new projects or update budgets in EPM Planning Projects, you can export projects and project budgets as needed on a regular basis.
