EPM Automate to Support Parameter File and Multi-line Command Execution

You can now use a parameter file to provide parameter values to EPM Automate commands instead of passing them directly at the Command Prompt. Additionally, you can now enable multi-line parameter input, which allows you to pass command parameters in multiple lines.

All parameter values, including credentials (for example, user name and encrypted or plain-text password), required to run a command can be stored in a parameter file instead of being entered at the Command Prompt. Additionally, you can now invoke multi-line command execution, which allows you to specify one parameter per line.

In both cases, command parameter values are positional. Mandatory values must be provided in the specific order indicated in the command usage pattern. Optional values are specified after the mandatory ones and can be listed in any order.

Applies to: Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Financial Consolidation and Close, FreeForm, Narrative Reporting, Planning, Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting

Business Benefit: The use of a parameter file makes the command execution more secure, organized, and flexible. Multi-line parameter input makes it easier to work with complex command usage patterns.
