Introducing the Learning and Development App
Introducing a unified experience for employees, line managers, and administrators that brings together the Oracle Learning and Oracle Grow apps. Here's what people can do in the new Learning and Development app experience.
Me > Learning
Employees can access and more easily navigate between Grow, Learning Catalog, and My Learning.
Learner Landing Page
My Team > Learning and Development
Managers can access the learning catalog and manage their team's learning assignments, role guides, and recommendations.
My Team Learning Catalog Page
My client Groups > Learning and Development
Administrators, with the appropriate security privileges, can manage all aspects of learning as before. They can now also manage Skills and HCM Communicate page banners and notifications. And they can directly access tools, such as filtered lists and questionnaire setup.
The existing Learning tasks were reorganized into different sections and additional tasks added from other, apps related to managing employee development activities on the Grow page. All new tasks are subject to their respective, existing functional security privileges. You won't see tasks if you don't have the relevant security privileges.
Sections on the new landing page:
- Activity Centers
- Assignments & Recommendations
- Connect
- Audiences
- Catalogs
- Resources
- HCM Agents
Here are the new task shortcuts available on the Learning and Development landing page, grouped according to the section containing them.

- For administrators, set the profile option ORA_WLF_ADMIN_LEARN_DEVELOPMENT to Yes
Tips And Considerations
The Me > Learning app name wasn't changed to Learning and Development in this release. In 25A the app name will automatically change when this app is enabled.
Some tasks and pages were renamed:
- Learning Initiatives is now Assignment Profiles
- Recommendations is now two links, Recommendation Profiles and Recommendations if you enabled the release 24D What's new feature Item and Audience Selection Updates for Recommendations
- Learning Organizations is now User Groups
- Bulk Advisors is now it's own section, HCM Agents, and each agent appears as a separate task.
The privileges for the Learning and Development app and Role Guide objects are both included in the Employee abstract role. Thus, you might also see Role Guide and Role Alignment in the navigation tabs of the Learning and Development app. For more details, see the release 25A What's New feature: View Team Alignment for Role Guides, Capability Guides, and Skills.
