Support Delete and Manager Assign Goal Actions in Goals Agents
Use the Team Goals Assistant and Employee Goals Assistant AI agents to complete additional goal actions without navigating to the Goal Management pages for every task. Managers and workers can ask the agent to delete one or more performance or development goals from the specified goal plan or development plan.
The AI agent checks whether the user has the functional privileges required to delete the goal and applies existing goal deletion validations. For example, deletion can depend on whether the user created the goal, whether the goal is part of an active performance document, and whether the goal is aligned to or shared from another goal that prevents deletion. If validations pass, the AI agent deletes the selected goal. If deletion can't be completed, the AI agent won't delete the goal.
Managers can also use the Employee Goals Assistant AI agent to assign one or more of their own goals to one or more team members. They can use the Team Goals Assistant to create and assign goals to direct reports, direct and indirect reports, or selected team members. The AI agents ask whether assignees can edit the goal definition.
Assigned goals use the employee's most recent goal plan for the current review period. Existing goal plan logic applies for goal weights, maximum goal count enforcement, and employees who don't have a goal plan in the current review period. After assignment, managers can see the assigned goal on the team member's Goals Center page.
Using this enhancement, managers and workers can complete common goal actions faster through guided assistant interactions. This enhancement reduces manual navigation, keeps existing goal rules and validations in place, and helps managers assign goals across their teams more efficiently.
