Find Activities or Emission Factor Mappings Using Activity Type Attribute Values as Keywords
You can now perform keyword searches using values of activity type attributes or Activity descriptive flexfield attributes on the Sustainability Activities page. On the Emission Factor Mappings page, you can perform keyword searches using values of activity type attributes. Prior to this update, you could use these attributes only for filtering. You can now also enable global segments of the Activity descriptive flexfield as individual columns in the search results by using the Search Views page.
All these updates to the search functionality help you tailor the search experience and quickly find the activities or emission factor mappings you want to work on.
For example, you can now easily find all emission factors for the fuel type Ethanol, or activities of the type Stationary Combustion that use the fuel type Ethanol, just by searching for the keyword 'Ethanol' in the Emission Factor Mappings or Sustainability Activities pages, respectively. If you've enabled a descriptive flexfield called Facility Name and you want to find all activities where the facility name is Budapest, then you can simply search for "Budapest" in the Sustainability Activities page. In addition, you can show Facility Name as an individual column in the search results by enabling the Facility Name attribute in the Search Views page.

Steps to Enable
To enable keyword search, refer to Configure Search Indexes in the Oracle Fusion Cloud Sustainability: How do I get started with Sustainability playbook, available on the Oracle Help Center. While performing steps 5 and 6 of Configure Search Indexes, select the checkbox against all relevant descriptive flexfield segments from both the Emission Factor Map and Activity descriptive flexfields in the Manage Search Indexes page.
To enable global segments of the Activity descriptive flexfield to be available in the column selector on the Sustainability Activities page, refer to the Steps to Enable section of What's new for Update 25A: Configure Search Views for Sustainability Activities and Emission Factor Mappings. In the search view for sustainability activities, on the Results Columns tab, select the checkbox in the Enabled column for each descriptive flexfield segment that you want to display as an individual column.
Tips And Considerations
- Keyword search for Emission Factor Map and Activity descriptive flexfields will work on all segments that are enabled in the Manage Search Indexes page. This can't be controlled from the Keyword Search tab on the Search Views page.
- You can display only global segments of the Activity descriptive flexfield as individual columns. You can't show context-sensitive segments as individual columns, and they will not be available for selection in the column selector even if you enable them in the Results Columns tab of the Search Views page.
