Redwood: Respond to a large number of Requirements in Supplier Portal

Suppliers can now efficiently respond to negotiations with high-volume requirements in Sourcing. In the redesigned Redwood flow suppliers can respond to requirements and lines in a one-page experience. This is suitable if the number of requirements are less. For negotiations that have a very large number of requirements, suppliers need a UI with the ability to search, and track incomplete sections.

Suppliers can see summary information to track their progress like the count of sections completed and requirements answered. Additionally, the badge indicates the response progress for Requirements by providing the overall status: Not started, In Progress, and Completed. Here, suppliers can take the action to drill into the requirement details to continue answering requirement questions.

This summary view of the requirements and navigation to requirement details is available on all UIs including the negotiation, response, and the create response page.

Suppliers can select each section in the left panel to view and respond to requirements in that section. The icons display whether a section is in progress or completed. Use the search field to search by section name. The right panel presents detailed requirement information including branching requirements.

In the View Negotiation page, improved navigation allows users to quickly access key requirement summary metrics and drill down into requirement details by selecting View Requirements. The key requirement metrics are Total Sections, Total Requirements, and Required Requirements. Like the View Negotiation page, the View Response experience has been enhanced with a requirement summary as shown preceding that includes the selected responses, allowing for easy navigation and detailed review of requirements and responses.

With this feature, suppliers can use streamlined navigation and tracking when responding to high volume requirements.

Tips And Considerations

  1. By default, any negotiation with 5 or more sections and 20 or more requirements are considered as high-volume requirements negotiation.
  2. You can use Visual Builder Studio (VBS) to configure business rules for displaying the high-volume requirements UI. Set minimum thresholds with two new constants:
    1. requirementsCountForHighVolumeDisplay – Defines the requirement count threshold.
    2. sectionCountForHighVolumeDisplay – Sets the minimum section count.
