Combine Subject Areas Using the Work Definition Common Dimension in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence
You can now use a common dimension for work definition to create a report, analysis, or dashboard that combines OTBI subject areas for Manufacturing work definitions with Manufacturing work orders and transactions. For example, you can create an impact analysis report of work definition version changes or engineering change orders that affect unreleased or released work orders. You can also create a variance analysis report between the work definition and work order transactions for identifying potential continuous improvement opportunities and adjustments to the standards.
The following screenshot shows an OTBI analysis to review unreleased work orders with change orders in organization M1:

Using the Work Definition common dimension to analyze manufacturing work definitions provides greater visibility and accuracy in manufacturing master data setups and change management scenarios, which ensures correct work orders for execution.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

- Work definition OTBI-based KPIs and visualizations can be added to the Work Definition and Work Execution landing pages based on user privileges.
